Working with kids
(and parents)...

Every child is born an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.

-Pablo Picasso

Kids express themselves through play. You know this as parents and caregivers. It's how they communicate. Therefore, play is a natural place to explore emotions, build trust , increase self-esteem, and work through  struggles. That is where we begin.

Whether your child is struggling with emotional regulation, undesirable behaviors, anxiety, depression, grief, or anything that hinders their best being, play therapy is a starting point. Play therapy is how I join your child, exactly as they are, in their world, to build trust and confidence in our work together.

Play therapy may involve games, books, painting, legos, dollhouses, train tracks or any variety of toys and materials. Your child gets to lead the way, choosing items they wish to pursue and leading me into their world.

As a previous public educator and performing arts director, I bring extensive somatic knowledge, creative experience, artistic expression, and interactive experience with children, adolescents, and parents.

I'd love the opportunity to get to know you and your child. Please don't hesitate to reach out so we can talk further about what a therapy space looks like for you and your child and how we can work together to help your child feel seen, loved, and accepted in this world.
